Privacy Notice
Last updated: 14 July 2025
This notice explains how Nyssara ("we", "us") collects, uses and looks after personal information when you visit nyssara.pro or contact us about our services. We keep it plain and specific. If anything is unclear, write to [email protected] and someone will answer you directly.
1. Who we are
Nyssara is a research advisory business based at Unit 5-2, Sunway Geo Avenue, Jalan Lagoon Selatan, 47500 Bandar Sunway, Selangor, Malaysia. We provide AI-assisted literature summarisation, laboratory data structuring and research reporting services to organisations. Our contact details are at the foot of this notice.
2. What information we collect
We collect personal information in two ways on this site.
Information you provide
When you submit our enquiry form, we collect the fields you fill in: first name, last name (optional), email address, phone number (optional) and any message you include. We do not ask for, and ask that you do not send, sensitive personal data through the form.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, standard technical data is recorded by our web server and analytics tools — this includes your IP address (typically recorded in truncated form), browser type, operating system, the pages you view and the time of your visit. We also use cookies and similar tracking technologies. See Section 5 and our Cookie Rules for details.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a scoping call.
- To send you a written scope document and supporting project correspondence.
- To understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it (analytics data).
- To measure the effectiveness of our advertising if you have consented to advertising cookies.
We do not use your personal data to make automated decisions that affect you, and we do not build individual profiles for marketing purposes.
4. Legal basis for processing
Malaysian personal data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for processing personal information. For enquiry data, we rely on your consent (given by submitting the form) and on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. For site analytics, we rely on your consent where required. For project correspondence with existing clients, we rely on the performance of a contract.
You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before withdrawal.
5. Cookies and tracking
We use essential cookies to keep the site functioning and optional analytics and advertising cookies. A full description of each category, the specific tools we use and how to manage your preferences is set out in our Cookie Rules. You can adjust your cookie preferences at any time using the preference icon in the lower-left corner of the site.
6. Third parties and processors
We share data with a small number of third-party services that help us operate the site and measure its performance. These include web analytics providers (such as Google Analytics) and, where consent is given, advertising pixel services (such as Meta Pixel and Microsoft Advertising). These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and data processing agreements. We do not sell personal data to any third party.
If you contact us and we engage with you as a client, project correspondence may pass through standard business communication tools such as email and video conferencing platforms.
7. Data retention
Enquiry submissions that do not lead to an engagement are kept for up to six months and then deleted. Client project files and correspondence are retained for a period of three years after the engagement closes, after which they are securely deleted. Analytics data is retained according to the default retention settings of the analytics provider (typically 14 months for aggregated reports).
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable local data-protection law, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Ask us to delete your data where there is no continuing lawful basis to hold it.
- Withdraw consent to processing where consent is the stated basis.
- Object to processing carried out under our legitimate interests.
To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected] with the subject line "Data request". We aim to respond within 14 working days.
9. Data security
We use HTTPS across the site. Enquiry form submissions are transmitted over encrypted connections. We restrict access to personal data to team members who need it to handle your enquiry or deliver the service. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot warrant absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the data we hold.
10. Children
Our services are directed at organisations, not individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information through this site, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be noted on the homepage for a reasonable period.
